OVERVIEW;
The meter reading form has been designed to capture any manual meter reads that are required to be submitted to the Savills Energy team.
Please note: This form is not for use with automatic meter reads or recharges. Recharges are to be added to the form at a later date.
Obtaining manual reads allows Savills Energy to:
1. Avoid estimated invoicing and therefore suppliers charging more or less energy than has been consumed;
2. Assist in the process of procuring the best value tariffs, tailored to the usage profile of a site;
3. Enable us to fulfil our regulatory obligations, such as ESG reporting.
The Meter Reading form can be completed and submitted via a tablet or mobile phone, in the same process as on a laptop/PC.

COMPLETING THE FORM
1. Firstly, select the property from the drop-down menu by entering the property code/name.
2. Next select the utility meter you would like to enter a meter reading for e.g., electricity, water or gas Once you have selected the appropriate option, the form will automatically provide the details of the previously taken meter reading.
3. Enter the new reading, which will be shown on future forms as today’s date. Please note: the system will flag any abnormal values such as: values which appear to be 1.8x higher/lower than the previous reading, by displaying an error message. This will ask you to check and confirm whether these values are correct or not before continuing. The field will become highlighted red for you to review.
4. If you have entered the meter reading correctly but the error message states that it is too high/too low, you are able to override the error by ticking the box shown below. You must then enter a comment in the box provided, explaining why the reading is 1.8x greater/lower than the previous reading.
Please note: the comments box will only become a mandatory field if the acknowledgement box in blue has been ticked, to override the validation rules.
5. You will then need to upload an image of the meter reading to prove that the reading entered is correct, you can do this by clicking “Select files”.
6. When you have completed the form, you will see the below pop up box, asking you to confirm that the details you have entered are correct and that you wish to proceed. Click “Yes, submit” if you are happy with the information entered.
